--- title: Introduction to Climenos description: Understand the Climenos, Climenos Connector and Climenos Central roles before you begin. category: Getting Started order: 1 categoryOrder: 10 sourceVersion: "Climenos 1.3.31 / Connector 0.5.8 source snapshot" --- ## What Climenos is **Climenos** is the main WordPress plugin used by a business or agency to manage customers and websites. Its documented functional areas include customers, projects, services, renewals, finance, payments, offers, contracts, support tickets and maintenance reporting. The administrator primarily works in WordPress admin, while customers can use a separate frontend portal. ## The three-part architecture - **Climenos**: the main customer and agency management plugin. - **Climenos Connector**: a separate plugin installed on a customer's WordPress site to display approved panel data and synchronize maintenance/update information. - **Climenos Central**: a separate central service/plugin used for Climenos accounts, licensing, downloads and selected central services. {% callout type="info" title="Keep responsibilities separate" %} Integrations between these products do not mean they share the same codebase or version. Payment configuration for agency customer payments must also remain separate from the Stripe configuration used to sell Climenos subscriptions through Central. {% /callout %} ## Platform requirements The supplied structure documents record **PHP 8.0+** and **WordPress 6.2+** for both the main plugin and Connector snapshots. ## Where to go next Start with [Install Climenos](/docs/installation/install-climenos), then review [Licensing & updates](/docs/licensing/overview). If you manage client websites, continue to [Climenos Connector](/docs/connector/overview).
